Position Title: Scheduler/Expeditor Job 1273

Description
Position Summary:















This position is responsible for the overall scheduling and expediting of manufacturing production. This position communicates with Engineers, Purchasing and Sales regarding machine capacity, product status, outsource, and expedition of product. The role of the Scheduler/Expeditor is to monitor job progress and facilitate changes to scheduling using the ERP system in order to deliver quality products on time, every time.















Essential Duties and Responsibilities:















1. Develop and maintain master schedule















2. Responsible for shop floor product schedule and strategically managing Work In Progress















3. Ensure on time deliveries















4. Assist in forecasting and capacity planning















5. Recommend and implement measures to maintain a successful schedule with input from others.















6. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate scheduling and outsourcing activities within or between departments.















7. Supports TPM and 5S programs















8. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed















9. Other duties may be assigned.

















Requirements
Required Education and Experience:







• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, logistics, or related field with a minimum of three years’ experience







• Manufacturing operations or Supply Chain Management experience necessary







• Three years’ experience in a short run/high mix, quick turn shop environment







• Direct interaction with ERP system (Exact, JobBoss, SyteLine, Vantage, Dynamics Great Plains, etc)







• Proficient in MS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint







• Must have a working knowledge of typical job shop flow, machining principles and machine capabilities.







• Must have an understanding of lean principles, working within an ERP system and conforming to an ISO9100/AS9100 Quality Management System are keys to success in this position.
