Position Title: Quality Manager Job 1265


Essential duties and responsibilities:

Gap analysis and compliance to AS9100 Rev D Specification

Interfaces with quality system auditors, customers, suppliers, and top management

Data mining and Review for Measures of Effectiveness

Collaboration across functions to ensure system integrity

Improve and maintain audit strategy

Manage Quality Management Support Team, tasks and assignments

Oversee the NCR and MRB processes and maintain the corrective and preventive action database.

Oversight of all certification testing and the site metrology program.

Assist with flowing down aerospace OEM specifications to our suppliers.

Manage the contract review process on new customer orders to ensure adherence to customer specifications and special PO requirements.

Assist the engineering team in maintaining the management of change process within the QMS.

Participate in the operating and capital budgeting process for the site and recommend improved test equipment and process improvements for the QC and QA departments.

Prepares products and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing relevant data and trends

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies

Communicate with Customers and Suppliers on quality related issues

Perform and/or oversee supplier quality audits.

Develop a strong quality team to improve customer satisfaction and quality objectives. Acts as quality interface for all customers, implementing customer specific quality requirements and assuring conformance.

Responsible for planning, leading, educating and assisting the site staff in the execution of the established continuous improvement strategy through recommendation and strategic implementation of metrics, tools and training.

Instills a disciplined approach to seek out and eliminate quality problems at all levels of the organization, achieved through a sustained, results-oriented process to instill this culture changing mindset into all levels of the organization through leadership, tools, metrics and training.

Defines a road map of continuous improvement for the organization by establishing priorities, methods and strategies for implementation using data to both guide the process as well as monitor the result.

Analyzes failures, determines cause, determines responsibility, and initiates corrective action.

Leverages the efforts of the quality and manufacturing teams through process improvement tools to reduce variation in operation. The incumbent will be a recognized expert for Structured Problem Solving, Process Controls tools required to drive the continuous improvement culture into the organization.

Reviews test procedures (functional, acceptance/qualification) for completeness with regard to technical content, test equipment and test data; provide assistance to inspection test stations.

Implement Advanced Quality Planning in new product development process, participates in program and design reviews, implement PPAP where required and assure that product quality objectives are met.

Utilize quality system performance KPI to drive performance improvement

Maintain a Quality management System in compliance with AS9100 and government regulatory compliance

Required Education & Experience

BS/BA in Management, Engineering or related field

Minimum 10 years Manufacturing experience, with a minimum of 5 years in an engineering or management role in manufacturing

Knowledge and skills in Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing

Strong preference in commercial aerospace.

Experience in measurement techniques, root cause analysis, implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions.

Working knowledge of statistical process control, gage R&R, auditing, advance quality product planning (APQP), and production part approval process (PPAP).

Working knowledge of AS9100 and related quality systems and auditing

.Management experience.

Proven leadership and cross functional managerment and communication skills.

Must be a citizen of or person admitted lawfully for permanent residence into the United States.
